Quilting Services

***UPDATE***
If you are looking for Edge 2 Edge Longarm Quilting please contact me. Turn around time is 2-4 weeks.

Due to my large customer base I am currently not scheduling any new Custom projects.

I offer a wide range of quilting services to meet your needs.  Every quilt project is unique, so we will start by discussing, in person or through email, what type of quilting style will work for your quilt and your budget.  Will it be a well loved utility quilt or a show piece for display or maybe something in between?

All quilting services are priced per square inch and include your first color of thread.  To find the square inches of your quilt, multiply length by width then multiply that number by the decimal value of the price per inch.  For example 90” x 100” = 9000 square inches.  9000 x .025 (2 ½ cents per square inch) = $225

Pantograph

This popular quilting style is ideal for quilts with busy patterns and quilts that are made for regular use. A pantograph is a single pattern that is quilted across the quilt in rows, from edge to edge, without regard to the piecing. This is an economical method of quilting and can be very pleasing on the quilt that calls for an overall quilting pattern. These designs can be quilted free hand or with the aid of a Computer. Prices range from 2 cents per Square inch (.02) to 2 ½ cents per square inch (.025). There is a $65 minimum quilting fee.

Allover Freehand designs (Stippling/Meandering)

Overall quilting ranges in size, unlimited pattern possibilities and is quilted freehand. No paper pattern or computer, only the pattern design within the Quilters mind.  Traditional Stippling (spaced 2” to 5” apart) is a curving continuous snake like pattern over the entire area of the quilt and is priced at 1 1/2 cent per square inch (.015). All other overall designs range from 2 cents per Square inch (.02) to 3 ½ cents per square inch (.035). Limited Custom

This type of quilting can be described as repeating the same design motif over or in each block, simple designs in the sashing and borders. The designs are larger in scale but uniform in density. There is no stitching in the ditch. Prices range from 2 ½ cents per Square inch (.025) to 3 cents per square inch (.03). There is a $75 minimum quilting fee.

Custom quilting

Custom quilting designs can include moderate stitch in the ditch, special block patterns, stencils, connecting designs, detailed border treatments, multiple feathers designs and some ruler work. All the designs will work together to create a uniform density of quilting. Prices range from 3 ½ cents per Square inch (.035) to 5 ½ cents per square inch (.055). There is a $100 minimum quilting fee.

Heirloom quilting

With Heirloom quilting the design possibilities are unlimited. This style of quilting can utilize all of the same elements of custom quilting but with greater density. This includes extensive stitch in the ditch, heavy connecting designs, echoing around applique, cross hatching and exciting background fills. This can include Micro quilting, which is beautiful in its rightful place. Micro quilting or heavy background fillers can be more costly than other types of custom quilting. This style of quilting can have a wide price range depending on the complexity in the quilting design, the density of the quilting and therefore how much time it will take to execute the design. Prices start at 6 cents per Square inch (.06) and up. There is a $150 minimum quilting fee.

Binding

I offer a range of binding services that includes trimming the quilt and preparing the double folded binding.
To have the binding stitched to the front of the quilt and ready for you to hand stitch to the back is priced at 10 cents per linear inch (.10).
To have the binding stitched to the front of the quilt and hand stitched to the back is priced at 25 cents per linear inch (.25).
Or if you want the binding stitched to the back of the quilt and machine top stitched to the front of the quilt is priced at 15 cents per linear inch (.15).

To find the linear inches, add the width + width + length + length, then multiply that number by the decimal value of the price per linear inch. For example the quilt top is 90”wide by 100”long, so 90 + 90 + 100 + 100 = 380 X .25 = $95)
